Breast Augmentation: Natural Results First

Breast augmentation is one of the most performed aesthetic surgeries in the world, and also one of the most evolved in recent years. If decades ago the desired result tended toward exaggerated volumes that appeared artificial, today the trend — and my personal philosophy — points in a completely different direction: results that integrate naturally with each patient's body and are coherent with their anatomy and identity.

Naturalness as an Aesthetic Goal

Every body has its own proportions, and the goal of breast augmentation is not to impose an external standard, but to find the volume and shape that harmoniously complement each patient's silhouette. A well-augmented breast is one that looks and feels natural: one that does not distort posture, does not limit physical activity, and that the patient recognizes as part of herself. This requires individualized planning that goes far beyond choosing a cup size or a specific implant volume.

What Should a Patient Expect?

The surgery lasts 1 to 2 hours under general anesthesia or sedation and generally does not require hospitalization. Implants can be placed in a subglandular or subpectoral position, depending on the characteristics of each patient's mammary gland and tissue. Post-operatively, a support bra is worn for 3 to 5 weeks. Recovery for daily and work activities is 3 to 5 days; for sports, 2 to 4 weeks. The silicone implants available today are safe, extensively researched, and approved by international health regulatory agencies.

My Approach as a Surgeon

In the initial consultation, I analyze in detail each patient's physical characteristics: current glandular volume, skin quality and elasticity, position of the mammary fold, and the areola-nipple complex. Based on this analysis, and listening carefully to the patient's expectations, we together define the volume, implant profile, and most appropriate surgical approach. My goal is for the result to be so natural that no one — except the patient herself — could tell surgery was performed.

Conclusion

Breast augmentation, when carefully planned and executed with technical and artistic judgment, can be a decision that brings genuine well-being and confidence. It is not about changing who you are, but about feeling more in harmony with your body. If you would like to explore this option, I invite you to schedule a consultation where we will speak calmly and without commitment about what this procedure can offer you.
