What Are Collagen Biostimulators?

Collagen biostimulators are injectable substances that stimulate the skin's natural collagen production. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that provide immediate volume, biostimulators work progressively by activating the body's biological mechanisms to regenerate and strengthen the skin's structure from within.

Among the most commonly used biostimulators are poly-L-lactic acid and calcium hydroxylapatite, both with extensive scientific support and approval from international regulatory agencies.

Results and Duration

The results of biostimulators are not immediate; they develop gradually over weeks and months as new collagen forms in the treated tissues. The final effect is generally visible between 4 and 8 weeks after treatment, with results that can last between 12 and 24 months depending on each patient's individual characteristics.
